Welcome to the Health and Physical Education Classes

We are excited you are apart of this years classes. Our goal is to instill in you the values and skills of maintaining a healthy lifestyle by developing one's motor and social skills. To expose students to a variety of activities and experience related to health education. Allow students to experience social relations that will encourage desirable behavior, leadership and co-operation with others and enabling them to attain positive self-images with opportunities for personal decision making related to their intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. So that when you or your child graduates the awareness of health and well being will allow you or them to lead a healthy life in adulthood.

In order to provide the best possible experience for you or your child, we must all work together as a team! Please remember to dress appropriately for physical education each day. For Comfort and safety purposes, you should wear running shoes with rubber soles, shorts/sweats pants and t-shirt. In Health, please make sure you have writing utensils, paper, and a charged notebook if one is provided to you by the school.

The Health and Physical Education Classes are listed to the left along the side bar. On each page is a tentative schedule of the activities that students will be participating in throughout a quarter, trimester, or semester for the entire year. For the Physical Education students you will also see a page where absent work can be found to help you make up any missing days. Once completed please submit missing work on the google classroom site. If the absent assignment that you completed is not on that site please let me know so it can be added for you. Towards the bottom of the side bar there is a WOW - Activities page. During our Work Out Wednesday activities there may be times when you forget how to preform a skill because there are a large number of fitness activities. This page will allow you to view pictures or short video clips, demonstrating proper form of the skill.

Physical activity must be done regularly to achieve health benefits. Therefore, you or your child’s participation is very important. If sick or unable to participate in all activities, please let the nurse or myself know via note or phone call prior to the scheduled class.
