Session Description
A quote and a question changed my life- "Be the change you wish to see in the world." I realized that I needed to follow that advice with the question, "Why not try?" In this session, we will discuss how teachers can use digital resources and social media to: 1) promote our great profession with a positive presence to different audiences, 2) encourage new teachers, veteran teachers, and administrators, 3) partner with parents to build trusting relationships in order to better help our students succeed, and 4) raise awareness with being informed in order to support & revive our education system with our boots on the ground in the classrooms. It is innovative thinking to attempt to follow the advice that we give our students "be the change", "not complain about what you tolerate", "try it, even if it's scary", and "learn to support others with brave, kind words and actions, even if you're the only one." The first step is to start taking our own advice!
