About Abigail

A Birmingham native with an active, family-centered lifestyle in the Chelsea community, Abigail Brock has been teaching second grade in Shelby County at Forest Oaks for 8 years. She loves trying new things as a first-time Technology Coordinator at FOES to incorporate technology into reading, writing, and social studies, and is advocating for practical parent and teacher relational wellness through the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) in June. 

At Auburn University, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In 2021, she completed her Instructional Leadership certificate from the University of Montevallo and is moving to the Vestavia/Homewood area to begin teaching at Edgewood Elementary in 2022. She hopes to continue asking the question she asks her students: “why not try it?” in order to learn how to do what’s best for kids, teachers, and families!
