Currently, I am a history teacher at Calera High School; my teaching combines my love of history with creating hands on learning experiences for my students. I received my master's in Education from the University of Montevallo in 2012. I have about 6 years of teaching experience in private schools with preschool students, but this is my first year teaching in a formal, secondary public school classroom. Learning and teaching history is my passion; I hope my students learn how the past determines much of our future. Over the school year, I have blended digital and traditional learning into a classroom through the use of stations.
