PaperWork
To play in games, you must:
Have passing grades
Have DragonFly 100% complete for this year and SCHS
Keep your physical up to date (They expire after a year)
All student-athletes and parents must sign and return the signature page prior to tryouts.
Uniforms
Uniforms (Jerseys and shorts) are property of the SCHS Varsity Soccer program.
They will be returned each week for washing. (Wash your own socks)
If you wash your uniform at home, do NOT use bleach, do NOT wash them with other clothing containing zippers or metal, do NOT put them in the dryer.
If abnormal damage outside of what's expected to incur during games renders your uniform unusable for next season, you will be expected to pay for it.

Rules & Equipment for Practices
You are expected to be at every practice, dressed out and ready to go by call time.
Unavoidable misses should be communicated by the students in advance (i.e. before the day of the missed practice).
In an emergency situation, please let one of us know what's going on and how we can help.
Come to practice with

athletic shorts of appropriate length or athletic pants (no jeans or bell bottom yoga pants)
t-shirt or athletic shirt (be weather aware!)

Travel & Check out procedures:
The whole team rides the bus to each game. If there is an extenuating circumstance, parents should communicate with coaches well in advance to work out the details.
If you plan to leave an away game with someone, a parent should email Coach Stephens by noon on game day. After noon, parents must sign you out on paper at the game.
We want players to support the other team. Please plan to be present in the stands.
2023/2024 Tryouts are officially closed
- Location: Practice Field beside Elvin Hill Elementary School.
- To try out, the following should be done days prior to try outs:
- Sign up to tryout (Click the sign up sheet button to the left or scan the QR code.)
- Have a DragonFly account (Either you or your parent can create the account.)
- Be linked to Shelby County High School in DragonFly.
- Have "Varsity Soccer" as a declared sport.
- Have a valid physical (both sides, 2nd page signed and dated by a doctor) uploaded to DragonFly.
