Jones Valley Teaching Farm Spring/Summer Camp Opportunities

For those of you who enjoy(ed) our Interdependence Unit 🌱🌵🌿 in Mrs. Naro's rotation, the JVTF is offering several spring and summer camps called "Camp Grow". Please check out their website for more information! And if you can attend, I would LOVE for you to share what you learn!

Eastern Star Quilting Guild Visits

Ms. Furman's second rotation learned the basics of sewing on various machines from the 1940s through present day.  Comments included why they preferred one machine over another, how calming it was in general, and how much more they liked it than they thought they might.  Each day of the week students requested more time on our permanent classroom machine after our kind visitors left!  Many thanks to Ms. Denise and friends for their time and enthusiasm!

OMIS GRC at The Shelby County Showcase of Schools

Dan Brewer and Emma Tillery did an AWESOME job representing OMIS GRC at the Shelby County Showcase of Schools yesterday. They shared their favorite Think Law court cases and Mock Trial experiences. Way to go, Dan and Emma! We are proud of you!
