Key Club is an international student-led organization that allows members to serve and develop leadership skills.
Key Club was founded in 1925 and is the oldest and largest service-oriented organization for high school students.
Key Club is organized by districts within a state. Each state has a President, each district has a Lieutenant governor, and each school has a club with officers.
Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities and learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects, and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district, and international levels. High school students at Chelsea High School can get involved in local projects, attend a state convention, and compete for a scholarship awarded to one Chelsea High School senior each year. Upon completing required service hours, seniors may earn an honor pin for graduation. (Seniors will be given more details about specific requirements).
