I can follow directions on how to make a sound on woodwind and brass instruments

Bell Ringer

Distribute sanitized/boiled mouthpieces and demonstrate how to buzz in brass mouthpieces, and how to set the embouchure for woodwind mouthpieces/headjoints. Discuss what embouchure means. If time, and if enough sanitized instruments available, students may try a second one. Some classes will take longer than others.

Use score sheet to determine how natural the instrument fits to the students.

I can understand and follow classroom procedures and rules

I can identify how music affects my everyday life

--Finish going over grading and procedures

--identify favorite songs or type of music

--listen to music from various movies, tv shows, game shows, video games, and play Plinkers to identify them.
