About Me

I am from Shelbyville, Indiana and graduated from Shelbyville High School. I also attended elementary school at Coulston, so this school is very dear to my heart! After high school, I went on to IUPUI where I received a Bachelor's degree in Medical Humanities and Health Studies. After IUPUI, I went to Taylor University and completed their graduate program in Elementary Education. I worked for one year as an Integrated Pathways Teacher in a developmental preschool program before coming to Coulston.

I have two young sons, Wesley and Henry. Wesley is in preschool this year at Coulston and Henry just turned one. We are a big soccer family- Wesley plays soccer for Blue River both seasons and my husband coaches.

I love spending time with my family, reading, and running. I also love being outside. I grew up out in the country next to a dairy farm, and most of my days as a child were spent outside rolling in hay or playing in creeks. I believe play is a huge component of a child's development! My favorite color is purple and I have a great love for pandas.
