Stay To The Right!
Hallway traffic should flow like highway traffic. If you're on the left, you'll be running into people and fighting to get to class. Don't expect people to move if you're on the wrong side of the hallway.
Don't forget to turn in your Dance Permission Slip
What is a Student Incentive?
A reward or benefit provided to students serves to encourage certain behaviors or achievements, such as enhanced academic performance, increased attendance, or positive behavior. These incentives aim to motivate students to strive for and maintain desirable outcomes in their educational journey.
We’re looking for new ways to recognize and reward students individually for their hard work, positive behavior, and effort. Please share what types of individual incentives would motivate you the most!
Note: Please refrain from suggesting money, cars, or other expensive/unrealistic items.
PRE-PLAN
How does a Prearranged Planned Absences work?
GET A FORM
A student or parent contacts the school office to request a prearranged absence form a few days before the absence..
GET TEACHER SIGNATURES
A student collects signatures from their teachers on a form, along with the homework that will be due on the day(s) they are absent.
RETURN THE FORM
The student must return the completed form to the office before their absence. The office will then update the student's attendance record. A meeting with the principal is required if the absence lasts for 5 days or more.
MAKE-UP WORK
Students are responsible for completing any assignments they missed during their absence. Typically, they will have the same number of days to make up the work as the number of days they were absent. Teachers have the discretion to determine the type and amount of work required, as well as the deadlines for submission.
Prearranged absences are usually excused if a student has fewer than ten excused absences for the semester. They are generally not allowed during final exams, state standardized testing, or the last seven days of each semester.
Do you need a tooth brush, deodorant or other toiletry items?
