In many of our programmes, especially those that include studio-based design work, theses and dissertations staff assessing your work are familiar with what work has been done by which student or students. The same often applies to modules whose assessed work relies on design work or ideas generated in design studio modules. For this reason, and to ensure consistency, the normal university rules about anonymity (i.e. without your name) of submitted work are waived for many architecture modules.Â
Where a module coordinator, a module handbook or instructions on Blackboard require that students should submit work anonymously, you should only include your student registration number on your submitted work. In all other cases you should ensure that your work is clearly marked with your name and year of submission. This includes drawings, sketchbooks, models and any other artifacts submitted for assessment.
If you are in any doubt about whether work should be submitted anonymously or with your name, please contact the module coordinator.
