Isabelle is a PhD researcher in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield. She is supervised by Dr. Brant Walkley and Professor John L. Provis. She is a member of the Sustainable Materials at Sheffield (CBE) research team. Isabelle completed her Masters in Physics in 2020 at the University of Warwick. During this, she completed her master’s dissertation on locating particles from collision data. In 2022, she started her PhD at the University of Sheffield. The focus of this research is investigating the mechanisms of fluid-particle and particle-particle interactions in PC/SCM encapsulants for radioactive material with the interest of replacing BFS and PFA for the safe storage of nuclear waste.
