What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is the online space where you access weekly module content, participate in online teaching sessions, and submit assessments. This page contains guidance on how to use Blackboard in your studies.
All of the content for your modules will be here and all of your assessments that are not in person exams.
See below on how to access Blackboard and how to get started with navigating your modules and what they will look like whether you are an undergraduate or a postgrauduate with the management school

Login to MUSE using your University username and password.
Click on My Services.
Select Blackboard.

Navigating Blackboard and your Modules
This is the blackboard navigation menu upon first login. There will be a number of items down the side, these will be where you can access certain parts of the VLE and how you will interact with your learning material.
This is the blackboard navigation that will be present when you first enter Blackboard.
This will be your profile where you can change your "First Name" and this will be displayed inside blackboard courses, you can also upload a picture here ( See picture below).
Activity stream will show a list of all of the upcoming and required activities, this will also show submitted assignments and any discussion updates.
Courses is an entire list of all the modules you are enrolled in as part of your programme. In this display, you will be able to search and select any of the modules to see the information and content provided by the academics
Organisations are where the PGT and UG information rooms will be and certain areas related to your dissertations.
All the due dates for the modules you are enrolled on will be populated here.
Messages are where any communication from a module leader or academic will be sent to the entire cohort. As you can see there are 11 unread messages in the inbox. They are separated by module.
Tell Us & Tools is the section where you can access Kaltura (media platform) and the Tell us survey which will help SUMS to know what we are doing well and how we can improve.
Grades - This section that isn't visible on this view is where you will be able to view all your grades for each module.

Notification settings can be amended here for what you will get emails regarding.
Due Dates Calendar
An example of a populated due date calendar and how it will display. This can be customised and yours will display less.

"My Media" this is how you can access Kaltura where all video recordings can be stored and shared, you may need this for any video assignments
Tell US is the survey where you can give us feedback on your programme.
