University of Sheffield have claimed the Varsity trophy for the fifth consecutive year! Making them the first university to win the trophy five years in a row. Thank you to all athletes that have competed in this year's Varsity, the spectators that have attended this year's events to cheer on their institution and also to the staff that made the event possible.

Emily Roche, Sports Officer at University of Sheffield Students' reflected:

"Varsity gives the privilege to represent your University, the opportunity to play for crowds of family and friends, and recognition for something that you've worked so hard for all year round. For many, Varsity will be one of the best memories of university. It is amazing to bring home the trophy FIVE years in a row for the University of Sheffield! Finally a huge thank you to all of the staff, student committee members, the athletes and the spectators that take part in the competition. You make Varsity what it is today!"

Laura Baggs, Sheffield Hallam Students' Union Sports Officer commented:

"Varsity is the best way to show off the fantastic and talented athletes we have at Hallam. It's the perfect time for you as athletes to express the passion you have for both your sport and your university! A huge thank you to all the athletes, spectators, committees and staff members at both universities. Varsity wouldn't happen if it wasn't for your support and commitment over the year!"
