Welcome to our student-led engineering society. SD^2 Is comprised of 26 engineering students representing an array of disciplines - Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, and Electrical Engineering.
We Have Structured the project into two main factions - Frame and Telemetry, each with their own respective organisation.
This sub team is responsible for leading the project. This includes:
Liaising with university staff, including the academic lead, to ensure the project is ran correctly and on track
Organising team meetings
Overseeing project progress as a whole and guiding sub-teams

The Frame team encompasses everything from the design to the final manufacture of the SD^2 Frame this covers:
Making key design choices for the geometry of the frame
Developing and analysing the suspension linkage
Integrating adjustability into the frame design (e.g. adjustable front and rear centre)
Creating a full CAD model of the design and final engineering drawings for manufacture

The Telemetry sub-team is working on designing a telemetry system for analysing the dynamics of the bike, for the 22/23 academic year this involves:
Building and testing prototype system using an Arduino an linear potentiometers
Design and manufacture of housing for system to be mounted to bikes
Writing code to acquire telemetry data
Gathering suspension data from ride testing, processing and understanding this data
