About Sheffield:Air
About Sheffield:Air
Sheffield:Air is an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to tackling air pollution and improving air quality. Since 2019 we’ve been dedicated to translating cutting-edge academic research into practical solutions that improve air quality and public health, not just in Sheffield, but across the region.
We believe that tackling air pollution requires expertise from a wide range of fields. Our researchers represent a diverse mix of disciplines from the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. We draw expertise from Engineering, Biosciences, Health, Social Sciences and more.
Tackling air pollution needs a bigger, collective effort. That’s why our group has partners from local and regional authorities and community organisations. Collaboration allows us to combine scientific analysis with practical, working knowledge. It ensures that our research translates into real, impactful change for our communities.
Beyond research, Sheffield:Air is a hub for knowledge sharing and collaboration. We host regular seminars, workshops, and events, and provide a platform for sharing opportunities, fostering interdisciplinary connections, and building crucial links with policy makers and community partners.
