This research study aims to:
Explore the experiences of scanxiety for adults with mesothelioma, pancreatic, brain and liver cancer and the associated care and support needs.
Raise awareness of scanxiety.
Identify interventions to help improve scanxiety.
This study is being conducted by Caitlin Lusted, a PhD student from the University of Sheffield and member of the Mesothelioma UK Research Centre team.
To take part you must be:
Living with mesothelioma, pancreatic, brain and liver cancer.
Undergoing scans as part of your cancer care
Aged 18 or over
We are interested in the views of those with and without scanxiety.
The study is made up of 3 main stages:
Online Survey
Online or telephone Interview
Online focus groups
The online surveys will take place first , with paper versions of the survey available on request. The survey will then be followed by online or telephone interviews and online focus groups. With more information on the interviews and focus groups attached in the participant information sheets below.
