My name is Ruth and I am an early career research fellow at the University of Sheffield. I am interested in the cognitive mechanisms that support our ability to use language to communicate with humans and our pets. I run experimental studies (including behavioural studies in the lab and online, eye-tracking studies, and EEG neuroimaging studies) to examine these mechanisms. I have mainly focused on these processes in University students, but my recent on-going work investigates the mechanisms of conversation in people with hearing loss, particularly focusing on topic maintenance. You can read more about my research here and view a list of my most recent publications by visiting my Google Scholar. If you are interested in any of my work and would like a chat, you can email me at r.corps@sheffield.ac.uk
