Venue
The RDC is in Sheffield city centre, near West Street, well connected to transport links including the Supertram, bus routes, car parking and a 20-minute walk from Sheffield Train Station.

By bus
The nearest bus stops are the Fitzwilliam Street and Mappin Street bus stops on West Street.
By tram
The nearest tram stop is the West Street stop which is served by the Blue Line from Halfway and the Yellow Line from Meadowhall.
By train
The nearest station is Sheffield. There is step free access by lift to all platforms. The station is 320m from the Sheffield Interchange, where buses are available to the campus, or 160m from the Sheffield Station tram stop which connects to the University of Sheffield tram stop on the Blue Line.
By car
The campus is located to the west side of Sheffield City centre, off Netherthorpe Road and Upper Hanover Street, which can be accessed via the A61.
Limited parking is available at the site/campus car parks under Regent Court, on Mappin Street, and on Regent Terrace. Parking is by permit only.
Please be aware that the site sits within Sheffield's Clean Air Zone. This is a class C chargeable Clean Air Zone for the most polluting heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), light goods vehicles (LGVs), vans, buses, coaches and taxis that drive in the Clean Air Zone. Private cars and motorbikes will not be charged
The nearest car park is Q-Park Rockingham Street. You enter the car park on Portobello Street, S1 4NL. It is approximately £14.50 per day if you pre book online. Alternatively, there is street parking on Newcastle street for approximately £14.50 per day.

Main entrance:
There is ramped/sloped access
The double doors are swipe card/intercom activated and open into the building (instructions on the intercom post on the left of the door)
Swipe cards are required to leave the foyer area and enter the stairwells and lift
There is a push button to operate the doors to exit the building
Within the building:
There is step free access throughout the building
There is clear signage
The lighting levels are good
Stairs to floors G (Foyer), M (Meeting Rooms) and 1 (Labs and Offices) are located to the right as you enter opposite the lift through a swipe access door
Stairs to floors LG (Workshop) are straight ahead through the swipe access glass door
A large swipe access lift provides access to floors LG (Workshop), G (Foyer), M (Meeting Rooms) and 1 (Labs and Offices) towards the rear of the foyer
Accessible toilets are located towards the rear of the building on G and 1 floors
