Blackboard

Blackboard is the University of Sheffield’s Virtual Learning Environment and provides a secure environment that gives students flexible access to their course from anywhere in the world.

It is an online space where you can access:

Course materials
Question & Answer boards
Submission link for coursework assessments (TurnItIn)
Grades and feedback
Recordings of lectures
A range of tools relating to your studies

Module organisers will update their module folders throughout the semester so make sure you check the Blackboard pages for each module regularly.

TurnItIn

TurnItIn is the online submission page where most coursework assessments will need to be submitted to. Each module that uses TurnItIn for submitting coursework will have a submission link made available via their Blackboard page.
