Changing your student record

Details on how to change your name and/or gender on your student record are available via Student Services (link).

This process is more formal and requires some form of evidence as your final degree certificate is effectively a legal document and as such it needs to align with other legal documentation and records.

Changing your details in Blackboard

You can change your name, pronouns and pronounciation of your name in Blackboard without needing to update your formal student record (see above).

To do so, please follow the instructions here

This will update your details in Blackboard and in Collaborate. It will not change the name listed on your student record (see above).

Note: Your changes may intermittently sync with your student record. 

Please note that it is your responsibility to make sure your name is correctly recorded by the University.
