Luke is a second year materials science undergraduate, with research interests in nuclear materials, researching candidate high entropy alloys for nuclear fusion, as a part of the SURE scheme. This placement primarily involves sample preparation and characterization, as a part of a larger effort to probe the effect of short range order on radiation damage tolerance.
Outside of the lab, Luke is the captain of the Materials Science football team (FCCFC), annoys his flatmates by playing the drums and enjoys cooking.
