Physics-based DNA Modelling meets Bioinformatics and Metabolomics Workshop
Sheffield March, 16th 2026
Sheffield March, 16th 2026
Join us for a relaxed, one-day, early career workshop focused on the intersection of Physics-based DNA Modelling, Bioinformatics, and Metabolomics. The aim of the workshop is to share our work, identify outstanding research questions, and explore opportunities for collaboration. We also plan to produce a small set of summary slides with the main ideas and discussions from the day.
Researchers at all career stages are very welcome to join!
The workshop will be held at INOX
Addres: Level 5, Students' Union Building Durham Road, Sheffield S10 2TG, United Kingdom
There are three ways to get to INOX from the Sheffield Railway Station: by tram (most comfortable), by bus or on foot.
By tram (15-20 mins approx): Take the Blue tram from the stop inside the station and get off at the University of Sheffield / Students' Union. From there, it's a short walk to the venue.
By bus (15 mins approx): Take the 51 bus from the stop outside the station and get off at Paternoster Row/SS2 (Stop SS2).
On foot (approx. 30–35 minutes):
Walking is also an option and can be quite nice, but note that the route is hilly!⚠️
We will provide accomodation at the Rutland hotel for attendees who requested accomodation in the registration form.
We are happy to offer accomodation on the night of Sunday, March 15th (the day before) and/or Monday, March 16th.
The Rutland hotel is within a walking distance to the workshop venue, approximately 15 minutes on foot from INOX.
To wrap up the workshop, we will finish the day with a group dinner at Grazie , a Southern Italian pasta lab located in Sheffield city centre.
