May 2025
We're pleased to announce that the data from our project has been deposited with the UK Data Service. Once final checks are complete, the anonymised dataset will be available for social scientists to access and build upon in their work. We will share a direct link to the dataset here once it is live. We hope this data can be used to provide others valuable insights into how rural communities in Britain have experienced and navigated the impacts of Brexit.
August 2024
Fieldwork in Wales has now officially wrapped up after a fascinating couple of months in rural Wales. The recent PAG (Project Advisory Group) meeting provided useful feedback on initial observations and the team is moving forward with the data analysis section of the project. The team is excited to be discussing initial results at the upcoming Royal Geographical Society (RGS) conference on Friday, 30th of August in London. More progress updates to come.
May 2024, West Wales
Our fieldwork in England and Scotland has now been completed, but revisits are planned for autumn for additional interviews and research. We are currently on the ground in Wales, getting to know the community and recruiting participants for focus groups in June and July.
April 2024, Upcoming Fieldwork, West Wales
In May we will be starting the next phase of our project, which involves three months of ethnographic fieldwork in a town in West Wales. We are looking forward to the next step in our research; watch this space for pictures and updates on our progress.
