How am I helping with the project?

I’m leading the project,  making sure things happen on time so that everyone knows what is going on and everyone involved can work together well. I will organise the workshops and summarise what people in the workshops say so that we identify main priorities for dementia and brain health research, from this community.

Name: Sahra Abdi

How am I helping with the project?

I am a Community Research Link Worker. I will recruit people to take part in the project. I will help plan, organise and run the workshops at Israac. I will work with Becky to look at what people have said in the workshops and help identify main priorities. I speak Somali and have lots of experience of working with the Somali community.

I have lots of experience of working with the Somali community.

How am I helping with the project?

I am a librarian and information specialist at the University of Sheffield. I will search the existing scientific literature about dementia and brain health research after workshop 1. I will work with Becky to summarise what we find in an easy to understand way.
