We are based in Sheffield.
We are mathematicians, computer scientists, neuroscientists... meeting weekly to combine our views and expertises on a common challenge.
We currently meet on Fridays, 12-2pm, hybrid on campus + online.
We are investigating at the moment compositional growth, applied to neural networks. We look for neural networks that grow while they learn, in a mathematically structured way, and in deep connection with information theory -- from which we look for appropriate and modular ways to measure the defect to learning.
