Practical Teaching in the Biosciences:

HUBS and Phys Soc joint workshop - 23 May 2023

We have a couple of remaining places due to cancellations, if you wish to attend please complete this form

Exploring practical teaching in the Biosciences

This dual purpose event is sponsored by HUBS and The Physiological Society. The first purpose of this workshop is to discuss the challenges that many biosciences teachers are facing in delivering authentic and inclusive practical experiences to increasingly large cohorts of students. We will cover topics including how people are teaching in new ‘super labs’, how technology is influencing practical teaching and how we can meet the needs of a diverse range of students.

The second purpose of this workshop is to establish a regional Biosciences teaching-focused network across Yorkshire. This event has been designed to facilitate informal interactions and initiate discussions around the scope of this potential regional biosciences network.

Organisers
