EYH Grand final held on 17th May 2023 online - sponsored by Engineers in Business
The top 6 multidisciplinary teams from across the whole 2nd UG year were invited to present a modified version of their 'pitch for funding' from February's EYH.
Industry Mentors from 7 companies volunteered to form a judging panel and voted live for the strongest pitch via an interactive google form.
Prizes were as follows - £1500 for 1st place, £1000 for 2nd place, £500 for 3rd place (with the 1st team being able to participate in the national EIB champion of champions final later in the year. and compete for a share of a £10,000 prize pot)

Tem Purifye
Designed an innovative, efficient and sustainable system to treat dye wastewater called Purifye, which can safely recycle 75% of wastewater per day, saving up to £93,000 worth of water per annum.

Team B.O.P.P Band
Created their product the B.O.P.P. band, Blood oxygen, pressure, and pulse band, that can be sewn into the gloves of firefighters and records blood pressure, blood oxygen, and pulse, to detect signs of heart disease or other cardiovascular issues, which could save lives and reduce pressure on the NHS
1st place - Team Walterr
Created a revolutionary sustainable Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) solution to tackle the ever-growing, underfunded, and life-threatening problem of overfishing and provide critical navigational data to legally-operating fishing businesses.
