There will be opportunities for networking, publishing, and developing caucus groups within the EAPCA. Presenters will be encouraged to develop their papers for publication in East Asian Journal of Popular Culture (EAJPC), and the journal editors will be working closely with session convenors to identify suitable papers. Presenters who would like to be considered for publication in the East Asian Journal of Popular Culture, are highly encouraged to submit their paper by mid-June 2020.
Selected papers of the presentations will appear in our journal.
The East Asian Journal of Popular Culture (EAJPC) is the first academic peer-reviewed journal devoted to all aspects of popular culture in East Asia and the interplay between East Asia and the wider world. With the growth in popularity of Asian visual products in the Western world and the increasing strength of the Asian markets, this publication fulfils the need for an international journal that allows Western and Asian film, media, literary, music, fashion, digital media, television, art and cultural scholars alike to engage in discussion. From film to music; art to translation and fashion to tourism, this journal offers a forum where multidisciplinary work can come together in new and exciting ways.
The East Asian Journal of Popular Culture is published by Intellect. Located in Bristol, UK, Intellect specializes in publishing books and journals on popular culture, focusing on, for example, visual arts, film, cultural and media studies and the performing arts.
As of September 2020, EAJPC is SCOPUS listed.
More information about the EAJPC can be found online on the Intellect website where EAJPC 1.1. (Inaugural issue) is free to download for you to have a preliminary look at the journal.
