Sheffield Women in Computing -Poster Session

Welcome to our virtual poster session!

The session is set in the (virtual) courtyard of Regent Court, where our physical department is based.

Although we wish we could host you in person, the upside of hosting this session virtually is that we are not restricted to posters, but are also able to incorporate several video presentations as well!

The posters and presentations incorporate work by some of our undergraduate students, Ph.D. students and RAs over the last year.

To access our session:

The session is hosted on Mozilla Hubs.

Before we start, it is worth noting that the session is best experienced with either Chrome or Firefox on a laptop or desktop. Windows, Linux and Mac are supported. We advise against using mobile devices and tablets for this.

We have set out some refreshments in the centre of the court (free of charge!)

For any of the exhibits, you can "fit them to screen" by right-clicking on them and holding the right button down. This is especially advised for the video presentations.

Our presenters:

  • Andreea Niculcea (3rd year UG graduate - BSc. AI & Computer Science)

  • Malini Nair (3rd year UG graduate - BEng. Software Development for Business)

  • Alison Sneyd (Postdoc in NLP)

  • Donya Yazdani (recently graduated Ph.D. student in Algorithms)

  • Areej Alokaili (Ph.D. student in NLP)

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the individual presenters, or Neil Walkinshaw can forward your queries on to them.
