CATCH project INVITE - INcorporating VoIce acTivated communciation aids into Everyday communication
Following the development of the VocaTempo voice input voice output communication aid app, which employed a user centred design in partnership with Therapy Box, we are now evaluating how people with dysarthria incorporate voice input voice output communication aids into their communication.
We will be recruiting 20-30 people, and asking them to use VocaTempo, or another VOCA app called VoiceItt for 6 months. We hope to find out more about who will use these apps, how they will use them, and what support they need to maximise benefit from them.
We will also be running focus groups with health professionals who provide communication aids, to look at service level issues relating to the use of such apps.
