We are always keen to support people who are passionate about cancer (particularly myeloma) and all things bone microenvironment related. Prospective PhD and postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to send an expression of interest along with their CV to Dr Alanna Green (a.c.green@sheffield.ac.uk).
There are a number of scholarship schemes through which prospective PhD researchers can apply for PhD funding. There are also schemes to support postdoctoral and research fellows, in particular the YCR Pioneer scheme has fellowships for talented postdoctoral researchers and for clinical PhDs that are ring-fenced for The University of Sheffield. We will gladly support talented individuals in these applications for projects which align with the broad research themes below.
Mechanisms of cancer dormancy
Targeting the bone microenvironment in cancer
Preclinical and non-animal models of myeloma and bone
Prospective PhD and postdoctoral researchers who have already secured funding are also very welcome to propose their own research ideas
