The Key Clinical Topics theme focuses on equipping students with the theoretical knowledge of a range of specific clinical topics in speech and language therapy. These topics include dysphagia (eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS)), motor speech disorders, voice, fluency (stammering), learning difficulties, mental health, dementia, aphasia and neurology across child and adult populations. The themes of assessment, intervention and evidence-based practice, as well as standards of practice, clinical ethics and inter-disciplinary working will underpin these topics and enable integration across the topics.
