The 8 themes of quality of life for 16-25 year old adoptees

These themes were identified via a literature review exploring quality of life for adoptees, and existing measures of quality life. They were further developed with the involvement group, via a series of focus groups.

Overlapping of themes

In stage 4 of the project, there will be further psychometric testing of the properties of the measure and integrity of the themes. At this point, questions are grouped into the themes above, but this may change following the testing. There are many questions which overlap between the themes, and some questions were removed due to significant overlap with a question in a different theme. It can be useful to think of the themes as overlapping groupings, rather than completely distinct areas, at this phase of the research project.
