2021

The SF Girls tennis team finished 11-2 on the year in 2021. We lost a close match to Kohler 4-3 in which we had a match that was very close. Within striking distance of being conference champs. We finished third in conference, with our only losses to Plymouth and Kohler.

Our team had many great successes, Kamy Luecke played singles for the first time ever in her senior season. She went 16-2 on the year, was sectional champion at 2 singles, and made a berth at the state tournament. It was an incredible season and her performance this year contributed to her winning Female Athlete of the Year at Sheboygan Falls high school.

Seniors Claire Liebe and Rianna Krist were first time partners playing 1 doubles. They finished the year at 12-6 and made it to the state tournament as well. They managed to force a third set in their state match and lost a close but exciting one.

This season marked the first time in many years that Falls sent multiple positions to the state tournament. As a team in the post season, we had 6/7 positions advance to the sectional tournament. We had two very close matches that went to 3 sets and were within points of us winning, and looking at the team point totals, if both of those matches went in our favor, we would have won the sectional tournament and went to state as a team, a feat that Sheboygan Falls girls tennis has NEVER accomplished. It was arguably the most successful season in the history of the program.
