Community Foundation of Southern Indiana General Scholarship
Scholarships opened on August 11 for ALL Scholarships. Students must be planning to pursue a degree or certification in the fall of 2026. Most scholarships are available for Floyd or Clark counties only but the following scholarships are available to Harrison County students:

Harrison County Community Foundation Lilly Endowment Scholarship
The Lilly Endowment Scholarship through the Harrison County Community Foundation is now open! This scholarship is awarded to ONE Harrison County senior based on GPA, work experience, community service, dual credits, and diploma track. This program will provide one scholarship for full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full time basis, leading to a bachelors degree at an INDIANA public or private college or university.

The Truman D. Picard Scholarship Program is dedicated to supporting Native American students pursuing higher education in Natural Resources. Preference will be given to students whose degree or area of study directly involves management of Forest Resources or Fire.

The Baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine Degree Scholarship is open to Indiana residents in an effort to increase the number of physicians providing medical services to residents residing in Southeastern and Southern Indiana. The purpose of this scholarship program is to enhance the state's efforts in medical education, research, and services, focusing on medical issues in Indiana. Students applying for the scholarship program will be independently accepted into the undergraduate program at Indiana University Southeast and the medical degree program at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Students selected for the scholarship will receive $4,000 per year, for a total of $20,000 over four years.
To be eligible, students must:
reside in Indiana
have a high school GPA of at least 3.5
have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or an ACT score of 27

The Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust is currently accepting applications for the Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship of up to $2,500 for college or post-secondary technical schooling is awarded to Indiana High School seniors whose parent is battling breast cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer. The Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship Award is named in honor of the founder of the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, Nancy Jaynes. Nancy lost her battle with cancer in March 2008. A Plymouth High School Family & Consumer Sciences teacher, Nancy envisioned the breast cancer license plate to be a traveling billboard and reminder about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer. The mission of the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust is to increase awareness and improve access to breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and support services throughout Indiana.
