Hello! I'm so excited to be at Seven Hills for a 8th year....it's going to be great!! I thought you'd like to know a little bit about who is your child spending their day with so here are 10 fun-filled facts about me! :)
1. Though I now live in MN, I am a true Wisconsinite!! I grew up out in the country in Rhinelander, which makes me a Hodag and yes....I am a Packers fan!!!
2. I am a dog lover through and through! I have 1 dogs...Hitch (black lab - 13 yrs.). I've also been a horse girl my entire life. Currently, I have a paint, Cowboy, who is 23 years old that I've had since he was a weanling.
3. I thoroughly enjoy puns! If you come across any good ones, please send them my way!! :)
4. I have a love of photography and have my own business. My main focus is on horses and dogs but I also photograph many high school seniors.
5. I am involved with a girls summer camp in northern WI where I ran the horseback riding program there for nearly 20 years. I now serve as the mentor to the program to help hire and train new staff. I LOVE camp!!!! I grew up going to a different summer camp in northern WI too and am so grateful for my experiences there and lifelong friendships.
6. When I was a freshman in college, I was an art major....I used to love to draw! Then I worked on a couple of horse farms on the east coast (took a little break from college) and came back to finish my undergrad work at UW-RF in animal science with a horse emphasis. Realizing how much I enjoyed working with kids (camp helped me figure that out), I soon went back to school and got my Masters degree in Elementary Education.
7. In my free time, I enjoy doing things like gardening (flowers not veggies), fishing, hiking, making trails at our cabin in northern MN to walk on with my dogs, and taking pictures. My husband and I also snowmobile and motorcycle ride. I truly enjoy the outdoors!!
8. I LOVE vanilla chai (hot or cold)...YUM!! I'm also a fan of chocolate and my favorite smell is PUPPY BREATH!! I wish someone could bottle that up!! :)
9. As a child growing up, my family used to raise beagles. One of my favorite dog breeds! We also raised pigs for a while ( I always thought they were going to eat me when I had to go in their pen) and we had two horses, Ginger and Chip.
10. 4th grade was my favorite grade in school. My teacher, Mr. Doyle, was fabulous and a big influence on me wanting to become a teacher as well. 4th grade is now my favorite grade to TEACH!! :) This past summer, I saw Mr. Doyle again after sooooo many years! He sells corn and veggies from a stand in Rhinelander on the weekends....so I had to go see him!
