I started my career teaching swimming in the summer of 1970. I received my Water Safety Instructor certification from Gustavus Adolphus College. After teaching at Mound Westonka and Orono schools, I moved to Arizona and taught there for two years where I learned to teach Water Babies. I came back to Minnesota and became Pool Director at Lafayette Club where I taught, extensively building their swimming program. At this time, I went on to my Water Safety Trainer and adaptive licensure through the American Red Cross. I have coached both American Athletic Union with kids going to the Junior Olympics and Mound Westonka High School with girls going to state. As you can see, I have worked many years and have much experience working with water safety. I have second generations of families coming to my home. I hope you will be so inclined to try my lessons too.
