About me

Hello, I am pleased that you are here! This year is the start of my 9th year teaching and my 6th year teaching at Shawnee Elementary. When I first started teaching at Shawnee, I has 2nd grade. But as each year passed, I found myself moving up a grade with my little group of kids. Currently, I am teaching 5th and 6th grade.

I was born and raised in Lancaster, California. I attended a very small private school from preschool-high school and my graduating class was less than 50 students. I am an only child and my family owns a cattle ranch in California where we raise  cattle for beef. My grandparents still live at the ranch and take care of its day to day duties. Fun Fact: our family ranch, "The R-Ranch", was in the end scene in the Rambo (2008) film.

I have been married to my husband, Trevor, for almost two years. Trevor is a Deputy Corporal with the Johnson County Sheriffs Office. I also have a beautiful daughter, Emilia. She will be turning six on September 1st.  

In my free time, which is often rare, I enjoy using my Circuit, baking, and of course binge watching the latest Netflix series. My favorite thing to eat are tacos, and I also enjoy coffee or lemonade.

I am looking forward to our year together and can not wait for all the fun, but of course lots of learning.
