Steve Hawkins is both principal owner and RF Engineer for WaveRF, LLC. Steve has over 40 years of experience in the development of wireless and cable systems. His designs have included receivers, transmitters, and synthesizers. Past projects included 2 - 18 GHz receiver, UHF zero IF discrete receiver, microwave synthesizers, up & down converter MIC Modules, GSM/WCDMA transmitter, DOCSIS modems, Software-Defined Radios (SDR), DECT, Wi-Fi, RFID, Zigbee, Bluetooth and NB-IoT 4G. Steve has also been extensively involved with telecommunication standards including IEEE 802.11T antenna test group standard, electromagnetic compatibility and world-wide compliance testing. Steve has a BSEE from Missouri Institute of Technology. Steve is also a presenter at technology trade shows and has authored white papers. Steve’s experience has been with Northrop Grumman, Motorola, Tellabs, Westell, LS Research, Echostar/Dish Networks and WaveRF.
