English Language Arts using the Workshop Model
We will teach reading and writing strategies through mini-lessons and model the use of them through class novels, short stories, excerpts, and articles. Students will then practice and apply these strategies using their novels and their notebooks and/or writing assignments.
Independent Reading

Whole Class Reading
A book used as a common reference point to demonstrate and practice reading and writing skills and strategies as a class.
Book Club Reading
Book clubs are a small group formed around a book. Club members read closely, write about their reading, and talk about books with a focus.
