Mission Statement:
It is the mission of the Wilson High School Student Government to give all members of the student body a practical knowledge of democracy by instituting self-government in our school, to bring about better cooperation between students and their teachers, to promote the general welfare of the student body, and to establish higher standards of character, leadership, scholarship, and school spirit, by working with students and staff in a professional and courteous manner to promote the exchange of apathy with character that promotes positive change.
Preamble to the WHSSG Constitution:
We the students of the Wilson High School, in order to give all members of the student body a practical knowledge of democracy by instituting self-government in our school, to bring about better cooperation between students and their teachers, to promote the general welfare of the student body, and to establish higher standards of character, leadership, scholarship, and school spirit, hereby establish this constitution for the Student Government of Wilson High School.
How to join:
There will be an application process that must be undergone for membership into the Wilson High School Senate, or into the Committee at Large. Times and dates for this process will be announced in school.
