We are going to EXPLORE many many books and genres this year! Fourth grade is a big step because this is the year where we shift our reading from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." Students are learning to "think deeply about what they are reading. Also, we encourage them to think "like a writer," and analyze the text while they read, and reflect on their own experiences while reading.
