Kate Kramer

Mrs. Kate Kramer is currently working half-time as one of the reading specialists for Spring Ridge. Kate graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School and later from Penn State University. She got her first job teaching first grade in the Pocono Mountain School District and taught 2nd grade there for 5 more years. She then met her husband, Scott Kramer, and after marrying in 2000, returned to Berks County where she was hired to be a reading specialist at the Wilson School District. After having her second son in 2005, she decided to work half-time. Mrs. Kramer’s oldest son, Lucas, is now in eighth grade, her youngest son, Matthew, is in sixth grade, and her daughter, Aarilyn, is 4 years old. Working half-time has allowed her to do two of her very favorite things – teaching children how to read and being a mom. She loves to work with struggling readers and teach them how to be successful independent readers, and she loves to have her afternoons free to "be a mom." She feels truly blessed!
