About Mrs. Snavely

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. In December of 2000, I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Criminal Justice, and I completed the Certification program at Alvernia University in December of 2003.

In the Fall of 2004, I began my teaching career at Wilson School District as a 3rd grade teacher at Spring Ridge Elementary School. For the 2007-2008 school year, I journeyed to 5th grade at Spring Ridge Elementary School. During this time, I graduated from Alvernia University with a Master’s degree in Special Education. I then continued my journey as a 5th grade teacher at Shiloh Hills Elementary School for the 2010-2011 school year. For the 2019-2020 school year, I decided to venture into a new role as the Discovery teacher and Instructional Technology Coach at Shiloh Hills Elementary School. In the Fall of 2021, I graduated with a Master's degree in STEM Education from Millersville University.

I am thrilled to begin my 21st year in the Wilson School District at Shiloh Hills Elementary School as the Discovery teacher and Instructional Technology Coach.

For the past ten years, I have also been a Girls on the Run coach at Shiloh Hills Elementary School.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our Jack Russell terrier, Kimber, and all of our farm friends (30+ chickens, 3 sheep, 4 goats, and a mini-donkey) on our farmette in Lancaster County.
