Playing an instrument can be very challenging. Through several years of experience, we have found it very beneficial for the student and the parent to think of playing this instrument as a partnership. When the student practices, the parent needs to be actively involved, ready to assist the student in any positive way possible.
You must embark on this journey together. In a way, you will be learning to play this instrument too. By doing a few simple things, you are heightening the odds of your child enjoying practicing and you are creating a unique bond which can last forever!
Below are TOP PRACTICE TIPS as well as the slide show I made for your student to reference. Both of these papers will be coming home in your student's folder. Starting good practicing habits now will make your child even more successful in our band!
