I currently teach French 1 and Spanish 1 at Wilson. I grew up in York, PA, where I graduated from Dallastown High School in 2017. From there, I attended Juniata College for French, Spanish, and Linguistics, where I graduated in 2021. Having decided on teaching later in my time at Juniata, I then completed the Post-Bac Teaching program at Millersville University. Through this program, I student taught with a Spanish 1 and French 1 teacher at Penn Manor High School in Lancaster, PA, which is where I live now.
During my time at Juniata, I studied abroad for a semester at L'Université Catholique de Lille in Lille, France, and I spent a semester in Ecuador through the Pachaysana Institute which focuses on fair-trade study abroad. I have also visited countries such as Mexico, El Salvador, Belgium, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
I love teaching about other languages and cultures as it gives us a perspective into other parts of the world. However, when I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with friends and family (and my cats Poppy & Parsnip), being outdoors, and making crafts such as crocheting.
