My name is Mrs. Morgan Wenzel and this will be my second year teaching Gifted Support in the Wilson School District, but my eleventh year in education overall! Previously I have experience teaching Gifted and AP United States History in the previous school district I taught in, as well as other social studies coursework. I am a Berks County native, having graduated from Muhlenberg High school - I have since made the leap and have become a Bulldog!
For my undergraduate degree I attended Kutztown University and received my teaching certification and then went on to get my Masters Degree from Wilkes University in educational development and strategies. I am also certified to teach Library K-12. Additionally, I have completed coursework in Gifted education, anxiety awareness for students, and understanding the adolescent mind.
I will be teaching Gifted Support at Spring Ridge, Shiloh Hills, and Whitfield elementary schools and I am so excited! When I am not at school I love spending time with my husband and our five pets! We have three dogs - Ellie, Winnie, and Zeppelin and two cats - Lucy and Mister Gray. I love to garden, paint, cook, and watch documentaries. Also, I have recently taught myself how to play the harmonica! It's a work in progress!
At Spring Ridge I serve as the co-advisor of the K'Nex Stem Club with Mrs. Tanya Cosgrove. As a teacher I hope to help students explore their passions through thoughtful research, whether it be academic or beyond the classroom. I look forward to another great school year together!
