Homework and Major Assignment Policy

Homework will be assigned periodically throughout the week. Check assignment board and hotline.

Assignments are due the next day or on the assigned day. Assignments must be present in class for documentation.

Homework will be documented in the gradebook as a 2,1, or 0.

The purpose of homework may serve any of the following:

1. An enrichment to the lesson.
2. More independent practice to attain a skill or understand a concept.
3. More time to complete something that could not be finished in class or school.

Major assignments are worth more points and will vary according the the assignment. It will also be weighted as a "formative" category.

10% Homework (graded homework assignments for accuracy)

30% Formative

60% Summative

0% Other (ungraded homework assignments)

It is the student's responsibility to see the teacher for any missed work in the case of an absence. The student should see the teacher prior to class.
