Hi! My name is Mrs. Matten. I am very proud to be a part of the Wilson School District and teacher for Whitfield Elementary. I taught second grade at Whitfield for 11 years.  This year marks my fifth year teaching third grade. I graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education K-6. I also completed my master's degree in Instructional Technology through Wilkes University. When I'm not in the classroom, I love to spend time with my wonderful family. I also enjoy reading and going on nature hikes. I love to teach and I look forward to an exciting and educational third grade school year with my students and their families.
